The short version: Nova Screen Recorder runs entirely on your computer. Your recordings, screenshots and settings never leave your device. We collect no personal data, require no account and run no analytics.
Nova Screen Recorder captures your screen, and optionally your webcam, microphone and system audio, only when you start a recording. Every recording and screenshot is written directly to a folder on your own PC that you choose. Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to access, view or recover your files.
None. Nova has no accounts, no sign-up, no telemetry and no advertising. We do not collect, store or sell personal information, usage statistics or crash reports.
The app makes one kind of network request: it periodically fetches a small configuration file from novasr.uk (for example, updated links or in-app announcements). This is a standard HTTPS request that carries no personal data beyond what any web request includes (your IP address and the app's version number). Our hosting provider may keep routine, short-lived server logs of such requests. If the request fails — for example, when you are offline — the app simply keeps working with its built-in configuration.
None of this content is ever transmitted off your device by Nova.
Your preferences (quality, hotkeys, theme and similar) are stored in a local settings file on your PC. Uninstalling the app or deleting that folder removes them.
Nova does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at novasr.uk/privacy with a new effective date.
